Dre Kirkpatrick To Visit Jaguars, According To Report

During the 2012 NFL Combine in February, despite a January arrest for marijuana possession for which no charges were filed, there was speculation that Alabama CB Dre Kirkpatrick could be a first round draft target for the Jaguars in April. Now, according to Aaron Wilson of Scout.com, the Jaguars are one of eight teams that will bring in the physically imposing defensive back for a visit.

Also reportedly bringing in Kirkpatrick are the Vikings, Buccaneers, Bills, Cowboys, Ravens, Lions and Titans.

Kirkpatrick, 22, is a 6-2, 186 pound cornerback that is known for his physical play and strong run support from the cornerback position. While he only had three interceptions in 2011, analysts say it is his ability to jam off the line and stay with receivers, not his skills with the ball in the air, that make him an attractive, first round prospect.

The date of Kirkpatrick's visit with the Jaguars was not reported.
