One position the Jacksonville Jaguars could look at in free agency in 2012 is the cornerback position. One player the team has been linked to is Tennessee Titans cornerback Cortland Finnegan, who now looks he's going to hit free agency. There were some reports that Finnegan could get the franchise tag, but according to Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean safety Michael Griffin will get the franchise tag, not Finnegan.
#Titans to tag safety Michael Griffin -- not Cortland Finnegan - today before NFL deadline tnne.ws/yMHHSC

Finnegan is one of the top free agent corners on the market now, given the team has used their franchise tag on Griffin. The Jaguars were linked to Finnegan, but it's unsure how much money he's going to cost in a thin free agent cornerback market. Outside of Brandon Carr, Finnegan is the next best guy out on the open market.
