Many Jaguars players spoke to the Jacksonville media this morning and among them was third-year defensive end Austen Lane, who revealed some interesting information regarding his shoulder injury that sent him to injured reserve after six games. Via Tania Ganguli, Lane revealed that the injury happened in training camp and was one that he tried to play through during the regular season.
Another secret injury! Lane says he tore his labrum in camp and played on it until the Pittsburgh game when he couldn't anymore. #Jaguars

Lane was largely ineffective as a pass rusher in his second year since being drafted in the fifth round of the 2010 NFL Draft. He recorded his first career sack in week four against the New Orleans Saints, but finished the season with just one sack and 14 tackles after his labrum injury sent him to I.R.
