The Jacksonville Jaguars have announced today that they have waived six players, one of which was a sixth-round draft pick from the 2010 NFL Draft in running back Deji Karim.

Outside of Karim, the other players released aren't much of a surprise. They were signed on as likely training camp bodies and had slim chances of making the roster. Karim being released so early is a bit of a surprise, but in all likelihood the Jaguars didn't intend to keep Karim on the roster this season and decided to waive him early so he'd have a chance to get into another team's training camp.
Karim struggled to fill in for an injured Rashad Jennings as the Jaguars primary back up to Maurice Jones-Drew last season, averaging just 2.3 yards per carry.
