With the 38th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars have selected Clemson Tigers defensive end Andre Branch. Branch is the No. 24-rated prospect in the draft and is the No. 4 defensive end in SB Nation's rankings at Mocking The Draft.
According to Mocking The Draft's scouting report on Branch, he is much more of a speed rusher than a power rusher, although his lack of a very quick first step off the line of scrimmage is what could hold him back from becoming an elite NFL pass rusher.
The next pick for the Jaguars isn't scheduled until pick 70 (the 7th pick of the 3rd round) which will take place later tonight. Barring a trade, the Jaguars are done in the second round of the draft. Stay tuned to BCC for more reaction and analysis to the selection of Branch and the rest of the 2012 NFL Draft.
