2012 NFL Draft: Jaguars Select Bryan Anger

New, comments

With the 70th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars selected California Bears punter Bryan Anger. Anger is the No. 1 ranked punter prospect in SB Nation's rankings at Mocking The Draft.

Anger is the consensus top ranked punter on essentially every 2012 NFL Draft analyst's draft board. The three time All-Pac 10 punter is the highest drafted punter in franchise history and the first punter drafted by the Jaguars since they drafted Adam Podlesh in the 4th round of the 2007 NFL Draft.

The next pick for the Jaguars isn't scheduled until pick 142 (the 7th pick of the 5th round) which will take place tomorrow. Barring a trade, the Jaguars are done in the second day of the draft. Stay tuned to BCC for more reaction and analysis to the selection of Anger and the rest of the 2012 NFL Draft.
