Earlier today I tweeted that I had heard Jacksonville Jaguars defensive tackle Terrance Knighton would be having emergency surgery on his eye after an early morning incident, involving from what I had heard was a bottle hitting him in the eye. At the time, the details I had were minimal, so I did not post anything. I have heard that it was a serious issue and could have season or even career level impact depending on the surgery.
Have heard Terrance Knighton has a potential serious eye issue. No details yet, but I'll see if I can get anyone on Easter for more info.

Just recently, the Jaguars have released an official statement on Knighton, confirming that he did in fact have surgery on his eye due to an incident early this morning. The statement naturally lacks details, but I'm sure they will emerge later on as to what happened. Here is the statement the Jaguars released regarding the injury:
Terrance Knighton was involved in an incident early Sunday morning in which he sustained an eye injury. He has undergone surgery at Baptist Medical Center and is recovering. We are in the process of gathering information about what happened and are not able to further comment at this time. Our concern and our focus is on Terrance and his health and recovery.
We'll have more on Big Cat Country as the story develops.
According to Tania Ganguli of the Florida-Times Union, Knighton suffered the eye injury at Pure nightclub early this morning.Knighton sustained the injury at Pure nightclub in Jacksonville early this morning. I don't know how serious it is yet. #Jaguars
