New, comments

On Sunday we learned that Jacksonville Jaguars defensive tackle Terrance Knighton needed an emergency procedure on his eye following an incident that occurred at Pure Nightclub early on Sunday morning. Knighton underwent surgery and then was discharged from the hospital to his home on Sunday evening and has a follow up appointment with an eye doctor on Monday afternoon.

According to Brett Martineau of Action Sports, Knighton's injury was "worse than expected" and the recovery process "will be a long process". The fear is that Knighton could be lost for the season or if the injury is more serious, longer than just a single season. Eye injuries are a delicate process and in order for Knighton to be "right", he'll need to be able to maintain some peripheral vision and minimal issues with depth perception. The exact severity of the injury, why and how the injury occurred, and the exact injury are still unknown at this time.
