The Jacksonville Jaguars will hit the practice fields again this week for another round of OTA's. The team has still not signed kicker Josh Scobee to a new contract and Scobee has refused to sign his franchise tender thus far. The Jaguars tried out two kickers during their rookie mini-camp, but neither stuck on the roster. According to Mark Long of the AP, the Jaguars will sign a kicker for OTA's this week.
Jaguars are planning to sign former Georgia PK Brandon Coutu for OTAs, so no contract for Josh Scobee

This obviously means that Josh Scobee won't be signing a contract this week, as Long indicates. Typically even during OTA's a team likes to have one or two kickers on the roster for simple practice sessions and special teams drills. I expect a long-term deal with Scobee will be worked out eventually, but it doesn't look like it be for this week's OTA sessions.
