The Jacksonville Jaguars made a roster move today, the team announced in a press release. The Jaguars have signed undrafted rookie linebacker Joshua Jones and waived undrafted rookie running back Joe Banyard. Banyard was signed as an undrafted free agent originally after the draft and made it through the rookie mini-camp tryout period.

Jones, 6-1, 234, was with the Jaguars during rookie mini-camp on a workout basis. He was a four-year letterman at Elon and finished as the school's fifth-leading tackler with 343 career tackles. He registered a team-high 112 tackles as a senior along with 17 tackles for loss and four sacks.

Jones played high school football in Tampa, so he's somewhat of a "local" product. Jones will wear No. 54 at practice for the Jaguars. The team will get back on the field today for another session of OTA practices this week and have another round of OTA days next week.
