One more team turned down HBO’s "Hard Knocks" on Thursday. The Houston Chronicle reported the Texans said no thanks to the behind-the-scenes show that depicts teams during training camp. The Texans join the Jets, Redskins, 49ers and Falcons as teams that have declined to be on the show. This process of elimination could lead to the Jaguars appearing on the HBO show for the first time. Jacksonville participated in a similar program that aired on NFL Network in 2004. The Jaguars have said they would be willing to be the subject of the show.

If Mike Mularkey hadn’t changed in the seven years since he was last an NFL head coach, Maurice Jones-Drew’s absence from the Jaguars voluntary organized team activities would be driving him crazy. But one thing he’s learned as an NFL coach is, there’s a limit to what he can control. "I [used to] let little things that I had no control over suck the energy out of me," Mularkey said. "At this job you’ve got to have a high energy tank and I’m not going to let that happen this time around."
