Jarett Dillard Cut By Jaguars, According To Report

The Jacksonville Jaguars have released wide receiver Jarett Dillard on Monday, according to a report by Aaron Wilson.

Dillard was drafted by the Jaguars in the fifth-round of the 2009 NFL Draft and dealt with injuries early in his career limiting him to just seven games in his rookie year. Dillard then missed the 2010 season dealing with a lower leg injury and played in 14 games last season, starting five games.

Dillard finished up his career in Jacksonville as a disappointment after high hopes as a rookie, showcasing his leaping ability and soft hands in training camp. The Jaguars have added quite a few receivers this season, so it was going to be a struggle for Dillard to make the roster, especially with his salary hitting an escalator and increasing.
