2012 NFL Supplemental Draft: Time, Coverage And More

The 2012 NFL Supplemental Draft takes place this afternoon at 1 p.m. ET. It's not in the format of a typical draft however, as it's not televised, it lasts roughly an hour, and it all takes place via e-mail. There are a handful of players that teams will show some interest in, but only Baylor wide receiver Josh Gordon is expected to be drafted.

There are a few other prospects in the draft who could generate interest, including Alabama A&M linebacker Larry Lumpkin. Lumpkin transferred from Alabama A&M to Carson-Newman College, but was declared ineligible for the 2012 season. The other prospect that could garner interest is TCU running back Ed Wesely, who has also entered the supplemental draft.

I don't think the Jacksonville Jaguars will show much interest in any of these candidates, because most of them usually carry significant baggage.

The 2012 NFL Supplemental Draft will begin at 1 p.m. ET on Thursday, July 12. NFL.com will have details of the picks as they are made, if any players are even selected at all.
