Forbes recently ranked the 50 most valuable sports franchises in the world, and the Jacksonville Jaguars fell 47th on the list, but the team ranked dead last (32nd) in the NFL. Forbes estimated that the team is currently worth $725 million. Even though Shahid Khan paid $760 million for the team when he purchased the franchise in January, he still stands to gain big from the acquisition.

A day after signing veteran place-kicker Josh Scobee to a long-term contract, the Jacksonville Jaguars waived Brandon Coutu. The Jaguars signed Coutu in May, bringing him to serve as the team's kicker while negotiating with Scobee. The Jags used the franchise tag on Scobee and signed him to a four-year, $14 million deal Monday.
With Scobee under contract heading into training camp next week, Jacksonville had little use for Coutu.
