When Fred Taylor was interviewed by 1010XL Sports Final Radio's Jeff Prosser on Wednesday, the former Jaguars running back was asked his opinion about the Maurice Jones-Drew contract situation.
Taylor revealed Jones-Drew has been working out with him in South Florida, and while he was careful not to point fingers at the organization or Jones-Drew, he somewhat subtly mentioned some details regarding the ongoing back and forth between Jones-Drew and the team. Hinting that there might be some bad blood spilt over a "miscommunication," Taylor revealed that he doesn't believe Jones-Drew will report to training camp on time due to "hurt pride."
All players are to report to training camp on Thursday, July 26 and Jones-Drew has given no definitive answer as to whether or not he'll report on time. He also mentioned in the interview that there are some more plans in the works regarding Taylor's involvement with the franchise, though he did not elaborate.
