Jaguars Odds To Win AFC South Not Very Good

With it being the deadzone of the 2012 NFL season, we can look at some of the odds for various things heading into the season. Some "football futures", if you will. While the Jacksonville Jaguars have a long way to go before they're challenging the Houston Texans, the new "kings" of the AFC South without Peyton Manning in the fold, they can still make a move in the division.

Currently, the Jaguars are sitting at +1500 to win the AFC South, which are the worst odds out of any of the teams. The Indianapolis Colts, with rookie quarterback Andrew Luck, have better odds than the Jaguars at +1000. I'm not sure the Jaguars will win the AFC South, but I do think the team has better odds than the Indianapolis Colts, who will be dealing with a rookie quarterback, a new-look 3-4 defense in which the Colts don't necessarily have all the pieces, and an offensive line that has potential but hasn't shown out very well so far on the field.
