The Jacksonville Jaguars have taken some hits on the offensive line and received another one in the form of backup center John Estes. Estes injured his knee on Friday evening against the New York Giants and the team revealed he will have surgery on his knee that could possibly put him out for the season.

"He’s going to have surgery on his knee. I don’t know what the extent of it is for the season or what it is yet," head coach Mike Mularkey said on Sunday after practice. "I think they’re going to know more when they do it but it’s not good right now from what we think. We’re going to make some decisions on that as time goes by, but he’s going to miss for sure the rest of the preseason and more."

Mularkey indicated that Estes could be done for the season when he was asked.

In place of Estes on Friday, the Jaguars got a good look at undrafted rookie Mike Brewster at the center position and also had guard Uche Nwaneri taking snaps at center during practice on Sunday.
