The Jacksonville Jaguars have taken a beating on the injury front on their offensive line, especially on the interior. Offensive guard Jason Spitz injured his foot in the first week of training camp and has been out for at least a full week, but head coach Mike Mularkey revealed on Sunday after practice that Spitz will be out anywhere from four to six weeks with his injury.
"He’s going to be a little longer. He’s probably in the six week," head coach Mike Mularkey said on Sunday. "I hate to give weeks because some players go ‘see you in four to six.’ He’s going to be out the rest of preseason, yes."
Luckily for the Jaguars, starting left guard Will Rackley is ahead of schedule with his ankle injury. "Maybe this game right now the way it’s going," Mularkey told reporters on how much longer Rackley would be out. "I’m hoping, we’re taking baby steps with his recovery but to be out here even today is a positive. I don’t think he’ll play this week but it’s going to be quicker than I anticipated."
