As the Jacksonville Jaguars get ready for their Week 2 matchup against the New Orleans Saints in Week 2 of the NFL preseason, what are the coaches and players saying following the first preseason game.

Jaguars special teams coach John Bonamego on muffed kicks: "No. Well, get square on the ball, look it in. You’re talking about a player that really hasn’t been back there very much. If it’s the same player twice I feel for him because we’ve seen nothing like that in practice. He’s been exceptionally well and reliable. You correct that the way you make any correction. You go back to square one and you look at ‘Is this the way you were taught?’ and if it’s not then why did you do that? Punt returners get in trouble when they don’t get to their spot, they drift, or they end up reaching for the ball. That’s what happened in both of those cases. You’ve got to set up quickly. We want to be square on the ball. We can’t be reaching outside the frame of their body. Those are all coachable things and we will be working to correct that mistake just like every other mistake."

Quarterback Blaine Gabbert on getting hit on the first play of the game: "Yeah that was our only really missed communication there up front but that’s going to happen when you’re playing four Pro-Bowl defensive linemen. But Cam (Bradfield) did a great job on Justin Tuck all night along with our other front five. They did a phenomenal job blocking that pass rush and gave all of our quarterbacks a lot of time to throw the ball, get the ball down field and execute, and that’s what you like to see against a good front four like that."

First-round pick Justin Blackmon on how it felt to suit up but not play on Friday: "It was very tough. That was the first time I’ve done that in a long time so it was just very tough. I was wanting to get out there and just try to do whatever I could, but I had to sit there and watch."
