The Jacksonville Jaguars hit the practice field on Sunday afternoon following their victory over the New Orleans Saints on Friday evening, but starting left tackle Eugene Monroe was still out of practice. Monroe left practice last week after suffering a head injury and was reportedly seen today wearing sunglasses at practice, in the rain.
Derek Cox, Leigh Torrence, Keith Toston, Brock Bolen, Daryl Smith, Clint Session, John Estes, Drew Nowak, Jason Spitz, Austen Lane and John Chick were all also not practicing. Nowak was reportedly walking around in a walking boot at practice, apparently suffering an injury in Friday night's game.
While the Jaguars offensive line did a nice job on Friday without Eugene Monroe in the lineup, the offensive line as a whole is still much better with Monroe in the lineup at the left tackle position. Guy Whimper got the start at right tackle because Cameron Bradfield was forced to play on the left side, and Whimper is where much of the pressure came from.
