Jacksonville Jaguars defensive tackle Terrance Knighton entered training camp in the best shape of his pro career, coming off a tumultuous offseason that saw him brush with a potential career ending eye injury. On Sunday at practice, Knighton was back in his usual spot on the defensive line, running with the starting defense.
Knighton began Jaguars training camp working with the second and third team defense as both he and Tyson Alualu, the normal starters at defensive tackle, but he was back taking plenty of snaps with the first team defense on Sunday afternoon in practice.
In the first two preseason games, Knighton had been up and down picking up three tackles and a sack in the game against the New York Giants. The Jaguars defense has performed fairly well so far and if Knighton is working his way back to the first team on defense and is fully healthy, it should get that much better.
