Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Laurent Robinson was held out of Wednesday afternoons walk through and Thursday morning's padded practice while he was waiting to be tested for a concussion. Robinson took a nasty spill on Wednesday morning when going up for a pass, coming down hard and hitting the back of his head on a small sliver of concrete on the side of the field. He sat out a few reps then went on to have a good practice.
Mularkey said after practice on Thursday morning that Robinson, and cornerback Kevin Rutland were both waiting to be tested for a concussion. Robinson is expected to pass and be ready for the scrimmage on Friday evening.
Jeremiah Brown also suffered an actual concussion in practice and has been held out and will be held out until he passes a baseline test. The league has come down hard on addressing concussions, so the extra precaution should come as no surprise.
