The Jacksonville Jaguars "trimmed" their roster to 75 payers on Monday by waiving/injured fullback Brock Bolen and placing four players on injured reserve, the team announced.
The Jaguars placed center John Estes (knee), guard Drew Nowak (foot), guard Jason Spitz (ankle) and tight end Matt Veldman (knee) on injured reserve. If Bolen clears waivers, he will also revert to injured reserve.
For the final two roster spots the Jaguars moved defensive end John Chick and linebacker Clint Session from the Physically Unable To Perform (PUP) list to the reserve/PUP list, meaning they will not be available for the first six weeks of the regular season, but they do not count against the 75-man roster count.
The Jaguars will have to cut 22 more players by the cut deadline on Friday, Aug. 31 at 9 p.m. ET. This makes Thursday's matchup against the Atlanta Falcons very important for filling out the backend of the roster.
