Uche Nwaneri Injury: Jaguars Guard Left Game Early

The Jacksonville Jaguars offensive line has been hit hard with injuries and had another player go down on Thursday evening against the Atlanta Falcons, as guard Uche Nwaneri left the game early. On the first offensive play of the game for the Jaguars, quarterback Blaine Gabbert tried to toss the ball to Rashad Jennings on a sweep, but bounced the ball off of fullback Greg Jones' backside.

During the fumble, Nwaneri went down and was slow to get up, walking gingerly to the sideline. It was announced the Nwaneri had an ankle sprain and would be out for the rest of the game. The severity of Nwaneri's ankle was not announced later on, but he was in a walking boot after the game according to Mark Long of the Associated Press.

Nwaneri was replaced for one play by Daniel Baldridge, then Baldridge was quickly replaced with rookie Mike Brewster, who played much of the first half at the guard position and held his own.
