The Jacksonville Jaguars have finally cut their roster getting down to 53 players as they get set to prepare to take on the Minnesota Vikings in Week 1 of the regular season. We noted some of the cuts earlier in the day such as tight end Colin Cloherty and quarterback Jordan Palmer.
The Jaguars have announced their cuts however, so hit the jump to see the full list of cuts.
Courtney Greene, Corvey Irvin, Rod Issac, Trumaine McBride, Richard Murphy, Jordan Palmer, William Robinson, Leigh Torrence, Demetrius Williams, Daniel Baldridge, Colin Cloherty, Odrick Ray, Will Ta'ufo'ou Kendrick Adams, Lee Barbiasz, Mike Brown, Ryan Davis, Antonio Dennard, D.J. Hall, Joshua Jones, and J.K. Schaffer.
The Jaguars also placed guard Will Rackley on injured reserve. Rackley is not eligible to come off of the IR list mid-season, despite the new IR rules for the 2012 season because he did not make it to the 53-man roster. In order to be eligible, he would have had to be on the 53-man roster and be placed on IR after Sept. 4, per the new rule.
The Jaguars had four undrafted rookies, the most in franchise history make the roster. Center Mike Brewster, DB Antwon Blake, WR Kevin Elliott and LB Julian Stanford.
