The Jacksonville Jaguars have had an "outbreak" of foot and ankle injuries, if you will, that have taken out quite a few of their players. The number of ankle and foot injuries the team has had seems to have perplexed head coach Mike Mularkey quite a bit, to where he's wondering if there is some root cause to the issue.
"We’re looking at it all," Mularkey told reporters on Wednesday if he though cleats had anything to do with the injuries. "We’re looking at shoes, we’re looking at surfaces that they’ve been on, prior injuries. We’re looking at everything of why we’ve had an epidemic of those kinds of injuries this season. Yeah, we’re looking at everything."
If it's something as simple as the cleats, than the Jaguars could fix that problem quickly. If it's something to do with the field/turf, there isn't much the team can do to prepare for that, but it's definitely an issue that is hampering the team.
