With a win, the Jaguars would bounce back from back-to-back losses to open the season and instead jump to a tie for second in the AFC South. With a loss, they would stay in the division and league cellar with any hope for a salvaged 2012 season continuing to slim.
Make no mistake, the Week 3 matchup against the Colts is a big one for the Jaguars and provides a strong litmus test to the actual strength of this Jaguars team. Going against a team that earned the No. 1 overall selection after a terrible, 2-14 season, it would represent a much more significant regression if the Jaguars' offensive woes were to continue against a Colts defense that really isn't very good.
