The Jacksonville Jaguars have been down in the dumps in most NFL power rankings so far during the 2012 NFL season, even hitting rock bottom at No. 32 overall on quite a few lists. The Jaguars beat the Colts on a miraculous 80-yard touchdown pass from Blaine Gabbert to Cecil Shorts III, but even that didn't seem to make the Jaguars take a big leap in SB Nation's Power Rankings:
31. Jacksonville Jaguars (LW: 32, 1-2): Similar deal with Oakland. A win last weekend should move them up more. In Jacksonville's case, that's one spot.
It's going to take a lot more than a win to inspire outsider's confidence in the Jaguars, especially given how the offense has looked the past two weeks. Until the Jaguars offense, in particular the passing game, gets back to looking like it's at least functional, the Jaguars are going to continue to hover near the bottom, even if they're winning ugly.
