Confused about the new layout? It's easy.

SB Nation has undergone a new massive transition to be more modern and stylish. The new magazine look adds some pop as compared to our old format, which was beginning to look a bit out of date. Let me introduce you to some of the new stuff

So, are you confused about the new layout? Don't be. It looks a bit overwhelming, but it's really easy once you get the hang of it.

THE COVER:

The big pictures at the top are called the cover and will likely be bigger stories that need to be pinned at the top. Right now it's in the 5-story format, but later on it will typically be in the 3-story format with a feature editorial at the top.

THE RIVER:

The "river" is just the new flow of stories that populate underneath the cover. It's just like the old method of the website, but it looks better. The stories will be in reverse chronological order like before, with some minor exceptions.

HUBS:

You see that block that says "FILM ROOM" and has the "3 Stories" mark? That's a hub, one of the new features under United. Essentially, that is another page unto itself on Big Cat Country. The FILM ROOM hub in particular will feature all of the film breakdown reviews that we do here. The most recent one will be on the top, followed by all the rest. If you click on it, it will take you to the hub containing all of the film breakdown stories.

Some of the other ones you can see are INJURY NEWS, which will house every story regarding a Jaguars player injury. The other two are a new feature called "CROW'S NEST" which is where I will opine on the most recent games with a few nuggets, like my training camp reports. Finally, the last hub for right now is "SPANISH LANGUAGE COMMENTARY" which will house all of the non-serious posts that we've become a bit infamous for.

See, it's simple. I hope you enjoy the new layout and the new mobile format, which I think is fantastic. Once the network has a chance to breath and catchup, the sites around the SB Nation network should also load significantly faster than before.
