The Jacksonville Jaguars have fired head coach Mike Mularkey, which means that David Caldwell will begin his search for the Jaguars new head coach. The fate of the Jaguars assistant coaches right now however, is still up in the air. Earlier it was reported that the Jaguars were given permission to seek positions elsewhere and now the coaches seemingly assume they will be fired as well.
#Jaguars assistants are realistic about their chances of staying, though they haven't been officially fired. 1 told a friend: "We are done."

As it stands right now, the Jaguars new head coach will determine whether or not to keep the current assistant coaches or dismiss them. Out of all the assistant coaches, the most important to retain is likely that of wide receivers coach Jerry Sullivan, but he came out of retirement to work specifically with Mike Mularkey so it's possible he could retire again.
