Early reports indicated that the Jacksonville Jaguars and David Caldwell were entering in contract negotiations to make Caldwell the Jaguars new general manager. The only thing left to do was to work out the details of a contract and according to Adam Schefter and Jay Glazer that is now finished.
As @jayglazer reported, Jaguars and Dave Caldwell have agreed to terms on a new contract to make him Jacksonville's new GM.

Caldwell informed the Jets a little while ago that he was removing his name from contention and began negotiations. Caldwell becomes just the second general manager in franchise history, replacing Gene Smith who was fired last week after four seasons.
Caldwell will now need to get to work rebuilding the Jaguars, including making decisions on head coach Mike Mularkey and what to do at the quarterback position going forward. The search is over.
