Jaguars will start Chad Henne vs. Chargers

The Jaguars will stay with Chad Henne as their quarterback against the San Diego Chargers on Sunday.

The Jacksonville Jaguars will start quarterback Chad Henne on Sunday against the San Diego Chargers, head coach Gus Bradley announced at his Monday press conference.

The move isn't all that shocking, considering the Jaguars offense looked functional on Sunday against the Denver Broncos, albeit the worst passing defense in the NFL, it was something much more than the first five weeks of the season.

Henne ended the day throwing for over 300 yards with a pair of interceptions, but also had a couple of near touchdowns that were dropped.

Henne wasn't lights out by any means, missing some reads that could have resulted in huge plays and/or touchdowns, but Sunday was the best performance by a Jaguars quarterback all season. Bradley also noted that Blaine Gabbert could be out for a few weeks, but they have to monitor his injury going forward.

Bradley wouldn't commit to Henne as the starter beyond this week.
