Jacksonville Jaguars receiver Justin Blackmon returned to practice on Wednesday, officially ending a four-game suspension that kept him out of the lineup as the team got off to an 0-4 start. On a team recently struck with injuries at the wide receiver position, his addition was welcomed, but shortly in to practice the addition was somewhat nullified as Cecil Shorts III suffered a groin tweak that ended his day.
Jaguars.com senior editor Josh Oehser said that the injury was minor and that the day off for Shorts was precautionary, but it's another reminder of how thin the team is at the position, as Stephen Burton recovers from a concussion and Mike Brown deals with a broken bone in his back.
Also joining the injury report on Wednesday was Jeremy Mincey, who tested for a concussion. One of only six players that is 29 or older, Mincey joins fellow veteran Dwight Lowery and Burton on the list of Jaguars players recovering from a concussion.
