The Jacksonville Jaguars lost rookie left tackle Luke Joeckel for the season with a high ankle fracture, Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley confirmed after the team's 34-20 loss to the St. Louis Rams.
Just three days after sending veteran offensive tackle Eugene Monroe to the Baltimore Ravens for a pair of late round picks, the Jaguars now lose their starting tackle to a season ending injury.
It's an unfortunate loss not only because the Jaguars need all the help they can get, but that Joeckel looked comfortable and in good form before his ankle was injured on Sunday.
With Joeckel out of the lineup it appears the team will be starting Cameron Bradfield at left tackle while looking on the waiver wire and free agency for depth at the offensive tackle position.
