Blaine Gabbert injury: Jaguars QB could be out 'extended time' per report

Jaguars quarterback Blaine Gabbert could be out for an extended period of time with a hamstring injury.

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blaine Gabbert could be out for an "extended period of time," according to a report by Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Rapoport tweeted that Gabbert heard his hamstring "pop", which is why he didn't finish the game.

After the game on Sunday Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley indicated that if Gabbert were healthy, he would be the starting quarterback going forward. According to Rapoport, it doesn't appear that he'll be healthy so he could be done... for the season.

If Gabbert's hamstring did "pop", it means he'll be out for quite a while. With the way Gabbert has played this season, which has seen him regress from last season (shockingly), it could mean that Sunday will be his final start as a Jacksonville Jaguar.

Gus Bradley has a press conference scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET, which will be streamed live on Jaguars.com, so we should know more about his injury then.
