Jaguars claim OT Sam Young, place Allen Reisner on IR

Reisner will have to stay on the injured reserve for eight weeks before he is eligible to return.

The Jacksonville Jaguars bolstered their offensive line depth on Tuesday by claiming offensive tackle Sam Young off waivers after he was released by the Buffalo Bills, and by promoting offensive tackle DeMarcus Love from the practice squad. Also announced on Tuesday was a move to place tight end Allen Reisner on injured reserve with a designation to return and the addition of guard Jacques McClendon to the active roster once again.

Young, 26, was a sixth-round pick of the Dallas Cowboys in 2010 and later joined the Bills after he was waived in September 2011. Young made 20 appearances with the Bills and four starts during the 2012 season.

Reisner, who suffered a sprained right knee in a Week 5 loss to the St. Louis Rams, is eligible to return in eight weeks, by rule, meaning the earliest he could return is in time for a Week 14 game against the Houston Texans on Thursday, Dec. 5.

The Jaguars also announced that wide receiver Jeremy Ebert was added to the practice squad, replacing rookie receiver Tobais Palmer.
