Monday Night Football open thread: Buccaneers vs. Dolphins

Join us as we take a look at this week's Monday Night Football game and open a thread for discussion for this match up that might go a long way in determining the 2014 NFL Draft order.

If you don't live in Florida, tonight's match up between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Miami Dolphins is just one more station to click through between you and whatever basketball game you want to watch.

Floridians, however, care a whole hell of a lot who wins this game.

The winless Buccaneers are coming in off their best (and, somehow, simultaneously worst) performance of the season. They went into Seattle, built a 24-7 lead that held until late into the third quarter. Then they Schiano'd it, allowing 20 unanswered points in the saddest overtime loss this side of I-75.

Describing Miami is like reading James Joyce's "Ulysses" -- you can fool yourself into thinking you've got it figured out until Leopold Bloom decides to quit what he's doing to go eat a gorgonzola cheese sandwich.

If the Buccaneers win, the champagne will flow like water in Duval because that means the Jaguars would actually hold the first-overall draft pick. (You'll have to trust us with this strength of schedule stuff.) And for Tampa Bay, they'd win their first game of the season, keeping the Detroit Lions as the only defeated team that's played a 16-game season.

Enjoy... let us know how you're enjoying the game below!
