The Jacksonville Jaguars and Houston Texans have played in some important games in the history of the two young franchises and their Sunday game will certainly have some significance, although it will be for an entirely opposite reason.
With just three combined wins through the first 11 weeks of the season, the Week 12 matchup has much more impact on the bottom of the standings than the top. With six games left to play, the Jaguars are the sole one-win team in the NFL and are in control of the top pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, but just behind them are the two-win Texans, who are primed to pick in the top five.
But one team has to win.
Statistically, the Texans are certainly the team to pick, as they boast the league's No. 1 defense and No. 8 offense in terms of yardage. The Texans haven't translated that into wins though, as a -11 turnover margin has been at the core of an eight-game losing streak, while the Jaguars have been playing their best football as of late.
