The Jacksonville Jaguars continued their tinkering with the bottom of the roster on Monday with a claim of former San Francisco 49ers linebacker Nathan Stupar off waivers, according to John Oehser of

Stupar, 25, was a seventh-round selection of the Oakland Raiders in the 2012 NFL Draft and began his rookie season on the team's practice squad. After he was released early in the year, he joined the Philadelphia Eagles in November and finished the remainder of the season on the team's active roster.

He then appeared in five games with the San Francisco 49ers in 2013, tallying five tackles on special teams. According to Pro Football Focus, Stupar took seven defensive snaps with the 49ers while primarily contributing on special teams. At 6'2, 241 pounds, the Penn State alum will likely contribute on special teams for the Jaguars as well.

Offensive tackle DeMarcus Love was released to make room for Stupar on the roster.
