Monday Night Football open thread: Packers vs. Bears

Join us as we take a look at this week's Monday Night Football game and open a thread for discussion for this NFC North match up.

Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY Sports

Arguably one of the most balanced divisions in football, the NFC North is the only one that boasts three teams with winning records.

Green Bay comes in as the heavy favorites. Vegas gave them a 10.5-point edge, they're at home and Aaron Rodgers hasn't lost at home since September 9th... of 2012. The Packers offensive line is one of the best in the game, their defense is fast, Eddie Lacy is stepping up and did I mention Aaron Rodgers?

Chicago, however, comes in with an offense that is (surprisingly) averaging more points per game than the Pack. That's right, the Bears are scoring 30.4 points per week as compared to Green Bay's 30.3. Trivial, but it's probably better than you thought. Backup quarterback Josh McCown filled in nicely when starter Jay Cutler went down two weeks ago against Washington, and if not for a Bears defensive breakdown in the final minute his touchdown pass to Martellus Bennett would've been the game-winning score.

The winner tonight will determine the NFC North lead. A Green Bay win would put them a full game ahead of Detroit while a Chicago win would put Detroit in the lead, based off of the conference record tiebreaker.

Enjoy... and let us know how you're enjoying the game below!
