Jaguars vs. Browns: First half game thread

Join the BCC community to discuss the first half of Sunday's Week 13 game between the Cleveland Browns and Jacksonville Jaguars.

Bob Levey

The last time the Jaguars made the playoffs it was in a 2007 season that featured three consecutive road victories early in the year against the Broncos, Chiefs and Buccaneers. Spoiler alert: The 2013 season isn't going to end with a postseason run, but the Jaguars do have a chance to record three straight wins away from home for the first time in six years when they travel to face the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.

On the heels of two victories in their last three games, confidence is running high for the Jaguars, while the Browns are looking to bounce back from back-to-back losses that dropped the team three games under .500.

The Jaguars have essentially thrown in the towel on their 2011 first round pick at quarterback, Blaine Gabbert, and the Browns appeared ready to do the same with 2012 first rounder, Brandon Weeden, but injuries to Brian Hoyer and Jason Campbell have forced the second-year passer back in to action on Sunday.

If the Jaguars can keep the contributions of dynamic receiver Josh Gordon to a minimum and drive the field against a defense that ranks in the top 10 at stopping the run and pass, they'll have a chance to keep their winning ways rolling.
