The Jaguars will likely be without some key contributors on Sunday against the Buffalo Bills, including running back Maurice Jones-Drew who is listed as doubtful. In a Thursday Night Football victory over the Houston Texans, Jones-Drew left with a hamstring injury and did not return.
With Justin Forsett recently placed on injured reserve, the Jaguars are left with Jordan Todman, Denard Robinson and Delone Carter as options in the backfield with Todman almost certainly in line for his first career NFL start.
On defense, the Jaguars will likely be without rookie safety Johnathan Cyprien. Also listed as doubtful, Cyprien is likely to sit out on Sunday and will presumably be replaced by Winston Guy who started for rookie Josh Evans in Week 14.
Rounding out the major injuries is a groin problem for receiver Cecil Shorts III. On Friday, he revealed to Ryan O'Halloran of the Florida Times-Union that the groin injury he is currently nursing will require offseason surgery to repair, although he still hopes to play and chase the 1,000-yard mark that he is still 223 yards from reaching.
