Bills vs. Jaguars 2013: First half game thread

Join the BCC community to discuss the first half of a Week 15 game between the Buffalo Bills and Jacksonville Jaguars at EverBank Field.

Sam Greenwood

The Jaguars are tied with the Patriots, Ravens and Bengals for the longest winning streak in the AFC and can extend it to four consecutive wins on Sunday if they can defeat the Buffalo Bills. It would be the first four-game win streak since the beginning of the 2007 season that ended with the team's last trip to the postseason; however, the Jaguars will have to earn the victory without a few of their key playmakers.

Particularly, the Jaguars will be without running back Maurice Jones-Drew and wide receiver Cecil Shorts III on offense. Instead the Jaguars will have to rely on a very inexperienced cast of characters, featuring Jordan Todman, Kerry Taylor, Ace Sanders and Mike Brown.

Defensively, the Jaguars will have some patchwork to do as well, as rookie safety Johnathan Cyprien will be out of the lineup for the first time in 2013 after 901 consecutive defensive snaps to begin his NFL career. With the a lingering injury for Josh Evans that will keep him out of the starting lineup, the Jaguars will start Chris Prosinski and second-year defensive back Winston Guy on the back end of the defense.

Both offensive lineman Kraig Urbik and linebacker Kiko Alonso were listed as questionable for the Bills, but both are listed as active and expected to play.
