2013 NFL Draft: Jaguars trading down outlook better at pick 33

Many fans like to talk about the Jacksonville Jaguars shopping the second overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, rather than use the pick on a pass rusher who may not fit consensus "value" at the slot, but that's always easier said than done. Most experts seem to view this as a "flat" draft class, with not much drop off among the positions, which generally will lead to less trades.

This doesn't mean trades won't happen and the Jaguars shouldn't shop their draft pick, however. It just shouldn't be the No. 2 overall pick, it should be the No. 33 overall pick.

With the draft being viewed as "flat" by most experts and is something I've had a couple of scouts tell me, it makes the most sense for the Jaguars to draft their guy with the No. 2 pick and be sure to get who they want who best fits what they want to do than worry about sliding down a few spots to pick up maybe a fourth round pick.

There's no St. Louis Rams haul to be had in this draft.

Where the Jaguars can pick up some potential loot however is with the 33rd overall pick in the draft, as teams will have all day on Friday to mull over which prospects fell out of the first round and still present great value. This is where the possible trade market for the Jaguars is going to be on draft day, much more so than the No. 2 overall pick.

Moving down from this spot can possibly net you a 2014 first round pick, depending on who a team is coming up for and where they're coming up from, but likely will net you another third round pick and possibly a late round pick.

This is the Jaguars best bet to trade down.
