While the Jaguars were still in contact with impending free agent, Derek Cox, on Monday, the team allowed the cornerback to reach free agency on Tuesday and there has been some interest already for his services. According to Ryan O'Halloran of Florida Times-Union, Cox has visits scheduled with the San Diego Chargers and New Orleans Saints.

Cox, 26, was a third round selection of the Jaguars in the 2009 NFL Draft and was an instant starter for the team, but struggled with injuries in his final three seasons with the team. Through four seasons with the Jaguars, Cox has recorded 12 interceptions, 32 passes defended and 170 tackles.

The Chargers finished the 2012 season with the 18th best passing defense, but may lose one of their starting cornerbacks, Antoine Cason, to free agency. The Saints finished the season with the second-most passing yards allowed.

As of Tuesday, the only cornerbacks on the Jaguars roster are Kevin Rutland and Mike Harris.
