Live Blog has moved to here for Thursday.
The first day of NFL free agency has come and gone and the Jacksonville Jaguars did not sign anyone as expected. There are still some free agents available after the big flurry who fit what the Jacksonville Jaguars will likely be planning to do on defense however, so once the dust settles there will still be good players to sign.
We will be tracking the free agency news throughout the day and you can follow along with our live blog of the events. We'll be keeping track of players the Jaguars show interest in through the day and former Jaguars players who sign elsewhere. We'll also track players the Jaguars could be showing interest in.
Live Blog
11:52 PM: Former Jaguars cornerback Derek Cox has signed with the San Diego Chargers, according to Michael Ghelkin of the San Diego Union-Tribune. It's a four-year deal, $20 million with $10.25 million guaranteed.
11:50 PM: The terms of Terrance Knighton's deal are out and ge signed with the Broncos for 2-years, $4.5 million. A very affordable deal, but I don't think he would have signed for that with the Jaguars. The Broncos can compete for a Super Bowl now, the Jaguars aren't.
8:43 PM: So the Jaguars either really like West Virginia quarterback Geno Smith or they just want everyone to think they really like him.
Jaguars contingent of @tonykhan David Caldwell, Gus Bradley, Terry McDonough and Jedd Fisch in Morgantown tonight. Will attend WVU Pro Day.

7:28 PM: The last time the Jaguars went to Seattle to play the Seahawks they lost 41-0. Well, after the Seahawks have added Percy Harvin and now have signed Cliff Avril it might be worse. Jags gon' die.
5:45 PM: The terms of the contract for Hayes is two years, $2 million, according to Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun.
5:40 PM: The Broncos will get their fill of Pot Roast. Terrance Knighton has signed a two-year deal with the team, according to Mike Klis
5 :30 PM: Free agent QB Drew Stanton, who had been rumored to have been coveted by the Jaguars, has signed a 3-year deal with the Cardinals.
5:01 PM: Fun Gene Smith note: If the Jaguars do not re-sign Terrance Knighton they will only have a single player left on their roster from the 2009 NFL Draft, Eugene Monroe.
4:55 PM: It looks like the Jaguars will not be in play to bring back cornerback Derek Cox, per his agent via Ryan O'Halloran of The Florida Times-Union.
4:50 PM: Free agent RB/KR and former Seahawk/Texan Justin Forsett has tweeted he will be visiting with the Jaguars.
4:48 PM: The defensive tackle market is starting to take some shape. Jason Jones signed for 3-years and $9.5 million while Sammie Lee Hill just signed with the Titans for 3-years, $11.4 million with $4 million guaranteed according to Jason LaCanfora. I would expect Terrance Knighton and Alan Branch to command similar deals.
4:36 PM: Not free agency news, but the Jaguars reportedly "whisked away" Desmund Trufant to meet with him at the Washington Pro Day.
4:27 PM: Check out this awesome Jaguars shield, that's actually a shield.
3:59 PM: Let's try this again, according to Ryan O'Halloran Geno Hayes' deal is for two years.
3:40 PM: Hayes' contract is for one-year, according to Pro Football Talk.
3:04 PM: Free agent kick returner Leon Washington is reportedly drawing interest from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and also has a scheduled visit with the Patriots tomorrow, according to Gene Frenette.
2:52 PM: Geno Hayes spent last season in Chicago with Jaguars DC Bob Babich and played both weak side and strong side linebacker positions and before that played weak side linebacker for the Buccaneers and a season under Gus Bradley his rookie year.
2:48 PM: Jaguars have signed LB Geno Hayes according to John Oehser of Jaguars.com, making it their first official signing.
2:44 PM: Tyler Polumbus played for the Seahawks when both Jeff Fisch and Gus Bradley were on the coaching staff and also has experience playing left guard.
2:30 PM: Jason Jones' deal with the Lions is much cheaper than expected, signing for only 3-years and $9.5 million, but he also reunites with former coaches from his days with the Titans.
1:44 PM: Free agent RT Tyler Polumbus will visit the Jaguars tomorrow, according to Mike Jones of the Washington Post, via the T-U Ryan O'Halloran.
Right tackle. RT @mikejoneswapo Tyler Polumbus visiting JAX tomorrow. Skins still say they want him but are moving slow.

1:05 PM: Left tackles don't like to play right tackle, in case you didn't already know.
Potential fallout in event Rams sign Jake Long as left tackle: Incumbent LT Rodger Saffold likely will ask for trade.

12:40 PM: Ball appeared in 11 games for the Texans this past season, registered 21 tackles and 3 passes defended in the regular season. Prior to joining Houston, Ball was a member of the Dallas Cowboys for five seasons after being drafted by the team in the 7th round of the 2007 Draft, out of the University of Illinois. Where he registered 126 tackles, 3 interceptions, 14 passes defended, and a half sack, in 60 games.
12:30 PM: Free agent S/CB Alan Ball is visiting the Jaguars according to his agent. He seems to fit the Gus Bradley CB mold.
12:00 PM: The Jaguars were in on cornerback Bradley Fletcher, according to Jeff McLane, who ended up signing with the Eagles. The team wanted him to play in Gus Bradley's hybrid front, which employs physical press corners.
11:56 AM: Jason Jones is off the market now, who was someone we thought the Jaguars might consider. Jones has signed with the Detroit Lions according to his agent.
11:48 AM: Welp.
#Jaguars have signed 53 unrestricted free agents since 2000 and none haveplayed in a Pro Bowl.

11:29 AM: Laurent Robinson was due a $2 million roster bonus on Saturday and according to Mark Long of the Associated Press, Robinson told the Jaguars training staff he didn't feel 100 percent while working out, so it made the decision to cut him easy. One has to wonder if Robinson will try to play again after his four concussions.
11:05 AM: Wow! The Jaguars released Laurent Robinson. Did not see that coming so soon, figured he would make it to at least training camp. The gutting is on.
#Jaguars have waived WR Laurent Robinson. Passed his physical so no injury settlement.

10:59 AM: There are three teams pursuing former Jaguars cornerback Derek Cox according to Grant Paulson, San Diego, New Orleans and an unnamed team.
10:34 AM: Leon Washington told Sirius Radio that the Buccaneers tried to trade for him, but the Seahawks decided to release him anyway. Washington is someone the Jaguars could consider as a patch at kick returner at the right price, but there will likely be other teams interested.
10:27 AM: The Redskins have contacted free agent corner Antoine Cason, someone we thought the Jaguars could be interested in. Washington doesn't have much cap room however, so it's unknown right now if they can afford Cason.
10:25 AM: The Ravens have released Bernard Pollard, according to Pollard on twitter. According to Adam Caplan he had a bonus due on Saturday that the Ravens apparently didn't want to pay. Pollard is 28 and more of a thumper safety and could be someone on the Jaguars radar, but the safety market is slim pickings so he may not be cheap.
10:23 AM: Welp, that was quick. The Lions have re-signed Chris Houston to a five-year deal.
So Detroit Lions bag their first free agent of the day, CB Chris Houston.
— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) March 13, 2013
10:18 AM: The Detroit Lions are trying to workout a deal with free agent corner Chris Houston, according to a report by Jason Cole. Houston has ties to general manager David Caldwell from their days in Atlanta, but Houston was also shipped off while Caldwell was there. Houston would be the second mid-tier corner off the market, joining Greg Toler who signed with the Colts.
