Jaguars met privately with Washington CB Desmond Trufant, according to report

The Washington Huskies held their annual Pro Day on Wednesday and among the teams in attendance were the Jaguars, who made a point to meet with cornerback Desmond Trufant following the workout, according to Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times.

Trufant, 22, has two older brothers, Marcus and Isaiah, that play in the NFL, and was a very productive cornerback during his time at UW. In his senior season, Trufant was a team captain for the Huskies and a first-team All-Pac-12 selection. He recorded just one interception in 2012, but that was due mostly to the fact that he was untested after garnering a reputation as a four-year starter.

In the latest mock draft from SB Nation's Dan Kadar, Trufant doesn't quite slip out of the first round and is instead taken by the New England Patriots:

29. New England Patriots: Desmond Trufant, CB, Washington
Another cornerback for Bill Belichick to roll the dice on. Trufant pushed himself into the first round with his NFL Combine showing. He's a speedy cornerback that can play on an island and tackle. If the Patriots can't make something out of a player like Trufant, it would be a shock.

Also on Wednesday, the Jaguars attended the Marshall Pro Day, headlined by wide receiver Aaron Dobson. In Kadar's latest rankings, Dobson is listed as the 76th best prospect in the 2013 NFL Draft.
