NFL Draft 2013: Jaguars attend Arkansas Pine Bluff Pro Day

Terron Armstead is an athletic offensive tackle a lot of teams seem to like.

Pro Days are in full swing now as players continue to get ready for the 2013 NFL Draft and teams continue to put their final touches on stacking their boards and player evaluations. The Jaguars will attend most of the Pro Days, but they were noticed at the Arkansas Pine Bluff Pro Day on March 4.

According to Tony Pauline, the Jacksonville Jaguars were among 15 teams at the Pro Day watching offensive lineman Terron Armstead conduct his workout. For those who watched the NFL Combine, Armstead ranked in as one of the most athletic offensive tackles, running sub 4.7 in the 40-yard dash at over 300 pounds and prompting some teams to request him to workout as a tight end.

Sources tell me the San Diego Chargers had two people in attendance including their offensive line coach and the Jacksonville Jaguars also had a pair of people on hand.

Armstead is an offensive lineman that is likely going to be drafted somewhere in the second round, as he shows great feet for a man of his size and can really move. Armstead played left tackle in college, but was often asked to pull to the other side on running plays and did it with ease. He's a player teams are going to also look at as a guard in a zone-blocking scheme or a pull running scheme. I also think he could fit in right away at right tackle in a zone blocking scheme. He was arguably the best player at the East-West Shrine game and also showed out well as an addition to the Senior Bowl.
