The Jacksonville Jaguars don't appear that they'll be bringing back linebacker Daryl Smith and the market has been relatively cool on him, but he's going to be visiting the St. Louis Rams on Monday according to a report by Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Smith was originally a second round pick by the Jaguars in the 2004 NFL Draft and became a starter his rookie season. He was a steady starter ever since until the 2012 season when he dealt with a groin injury that required surgery and kept him out of all but two games.
Rams head coach Jeff Fisher should be very familiar with Smith, as he saw him twice a year for a long time as the head coach of the Tennessee Titans in the AFC South. It appears the Jaguars will be addressing their linebacker position at some point in the draft rather than bringing back the fan favorite.
