The Jacksonville Jaguars are reportedly down to just two players they fell happy picking with the second overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, and most of us have a good idea of who those two players could be. One of them, most people think, is Oregon pass rusher Dion Jordan, who would seem to be a perfect match for the Jaguars new hybrid defensive scheme.
In their latest NFL Mock Draft, Mocking The Draft thinks that could be the case:
Pick | Player | Position | Height | Weight | Class |
2. Jacksonville Jaguars |
Dion Jordan, Oregon | LB/DE | 6'6 | 248 | Sr. |
There has been a lot of discussion about the Jaguars drafting an offensive tackle with the second overall pick. The logic is that the team hasn't started the process to extend left tackle Eugene Monroe. But the team has a more immediate need with a player that can line up at the Leo position. Besides, Jordan has the most upside of any pass rusher in the draft this year.
